Be Like Fonzie? What's Fonzie like?

Cool.

Stay cool.

That's not the big fellow in the above pic. If I ever put any sort of fashion accessory on him he'd probably trot over to McCarthys, drag me off the barstool and murder me right in front of cheering patrons. He'd be justified too.

Anyhow, the Oil have a chance tonight to close this thing out. Obviously its in their best interests to do so. If they do not then there will be much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments, talk of chances wasted, opportunities missed etc.

Let's go with what we know:

The Wings are going to come out desperate. This is a must win for them.

As a team the Oilers must play hard and smart. That they can control. For the majority of this series, even when they have been outplayed, the try has been there.

Discipline. The key. The Wings will get their power plays. Limit them by not taking needless penalties. Game 6 was an improvement on Game 5 with the exception of the first period. Improvement on that is still needed.

Better individual efforts from Sammy and Hemsky. I had kudos for everyone last game - I think that top to bottom everyone played well. Murray ate up minutes. Dvo was flying. Tarnstrom was solid. Etc etc. Samsonov looked to me like he was skating better then he has. Hemsky too. They were involved. A step forward for both. Now they need to be difference makers. Like Horcoff, Smyth, Pronger, Spacek and Pisani have been. With last change they should get some good matchups. They have to take advantage.

Win or at least get a draw on the special teams matchup. Duh.

The Oil have to play with contolled emotion. The crowd is going to be behind them. It should be a great atmosphere tonight. They have to ride the roar of the crowd but not let it overtake them.
